“Gunfire Erupts in Longueuil: Police Launch Investigation into Nighttime Shooting”

Longueuil Agglomeration Police (SPAL) are currently conducting an investigation following an incident where gunshots were heard in a residential area of Longueuil on Thursday evening.

Around 8:20 p.m., emergency services responded to reports from residents on Rouville Street who heard what seemed to be gunfire.

Upon reaching the scene, officers found at least one shell casing. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported, and no individuals were found to be harmed.

For safety measures, the police set up a secure perimeter to safeguard the neighborhood while they searched for any potential suspects. As a result, Rouville Street was temporarily closed off between Saint-Charles West and Providence streets well into the night.

The investigation is still ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
