RCMP Unveils Chilling Details: Trio Charged in Hate-Driven Probe, One Suspect Allegedly Aided ISIS in Terror Plot

Three individuals have been charged by Toronto and Peel police for targeting women and members of the Jewish community, with one of them allegedly collaborating with ISIS to plan terror attacks, according to the RCMP. The arrests were made as part of Project Neapolitan, a collaborative investigation between the two police forces following incidents believed to be fueled by hate-motivated extremism.

In the first incident in Toronto on May 31, 2025, three men armed with a handgun and a knife attempted to force a woman into a vehicle, but fled when interrupted by a passerby. The second incident occurred in Mississauga on June 24, 2025, where three men armed with a handgun, a rifle, and a knife chased two women before fleeing when interrupted by another passerby.

The suspects, identified as Waleed Khan, Osman Azizov, and Fahad Sadaat, are facing a total of 79 charges, including kidnapping, attempted kidnapping with firearms, conspiracy to commit sexual assault, and hostage taking. Following the execution of search warrants in Toronto residences, firearms, ammunition, and other evidentiary items were seized, leading to the uncovering of additional hate-motivated offenses targeting women and the Jewish community, as well as links to terrorism.

One of the suspects, Waleed Khan, is also facing terrorism-related charges, with allegations suggesting his involvement with ISIS between June 17, 2025, and August 17, 2025, in planning deadly attacks. The RCMP emphasized that the allegations have not yet been tested in court.

CEO of the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA), Noah Shack, expressed serious concerns over the threats posed by such extremist activities, highlighting the urgency for national security measures to address and prevent potential acts of violence within Canada.
