A woman is in critical condition after a serious collision involving multiple vehicles in the eastern part of the city.
According to authorities, the collision, which is thought to have included up to four vehicles, happened shortly after 4 p.m. on Eglinton Avenue near the entrance to the Don Valley Parkway.
Emergency responders rushed the injured woman to a trauma center with severe injuries.
While four others sustained injuries in the incident, they are currently reported to be non-life-threatening.
Due to the ongoing investigation, a section of Eglinton Avenue, spanning from Gervais Avenue to Wynford Drive, has been temporarily closed off.
