Officer Hospitalized Following Violent Car Crash in Etobicoke

Early Sunday morning in Etobicoke, a Toronto police officer was rushed to the hospital after being injured in a vehicle accident. The incident occurred while the officer was on their way to a call with lights and sirens on, near The Queensway and Kipling Avenue. The police cruiser collided with another vehicle, causing non-life-threatening injuries to the officer who was then taken to the hospital for treatment. Fortunately, the occupants of the other vehicle were unharmed, as confirmed by the authorities.

The collision also resulted in damage to a traffic pole, leading to the traffic lights being out at the intersection. This caused disruptions in the area with road closures while emergency crews worked at the scene.
