“Quebec Pharmacists’ Union Strikes Key Agreement with Government, Securing Future of Pharmacy Services”

The Quebec Association of Pharmacists in Health Establishments (A.P.E.S.) has reached a significant agreement with the Quebec government regarding the working conditions of pharmacists in hospitals and CHSLDs, as announced on Sunday.

A.P.E.S. disclosed that a general meeting of its members will be convened in the upcoming weeks to carefully assess the agreement and decide whether to approve it. The association stated that it will withhold specific details until the members have had the opportunity to thoroughly review the agreement.

Representing close to 2,000 pharmacists primarily employed in integrated health and social services centers, university health and social services centers, and university hospital centers, the union’s efforts have culminated in this breakthrough agreement after the expiration of the last collective agreement with the government nearly three years ago.
