West Kelowna Shakedown: Two Arrested in Major Drug Trafficking Crackdown

The West Kelowna RCMP has confirmed the arrests of two individuals on Friday in connection with an ongoing probe into drug trafficking activities.

According to authorities, the arrests took place during the execution of a search warrant at a residence on Rutland Road. The operation led to the confiscation of various controlled substances, cash, and other evidence linked to drug trafficking.

Cpl Achtymichuk highlighted the significance of the operation, emphasizing that the targeted property, located across from Rutland Middle School, had been a known concern for community safety.

During the operation, local residents approached the officers to express their gratitude for the police’s presence and swift actions.

Earlier in the investigation, a search warrant was also carried out on Dec. 11 at a property on Scott Crescent as part of the same case.

The RCMP encourages the public to report any suspected drug trafficking or possession of illegal weapons to the authorities promptly.
