“Major Pile-Up Shuts Down Key Westbound Route into Surrey on Highway 1”

Westbound traffic on Highway 1 between Langley and Surrey came to a halt on Monday morning following a serious collision just east of Pacific Highway. The crash involving three vehicles occurred at approximately 7:15 a.m., resulting in severe injuries, according to Cpl. Michael McLaughlin of the BC Highway Patrol (BCHP).

Emergency response teams swiftly descended on the scene, with images showing a significant presence as they attended to the injured and assessed the accident’s cause. Motorists have been redirected at 200 Street, and significant delays are expected for drivers in the vicinity.

To aid in their investigation, the BCHP is urging anyone who witnessed the crash to contact their Burnaby office at 604-526-9744, citing file number (1003) 2025-4185.
