Quebec authorities reported that a young man, aged 18, was apprehended for speeding excessively in St-Lazare over the weekend.
The incident unfolded when the Sûreté du Québec discovered the individual, hailing from Vaudreuil-Dorion, driving at a staggering speed of 134 km/h in a 50 km/h zone along Côte St-Charles Road.
As a consequence, the driver faced a substantial fine of $1,611, incurred 18 demerit points on his record, and had his license suspended for a period of seven days.
