The arrests took place from Nov. 5 to Dec. 17 as part of an investigation spearheaded by the SPVM’s Project Investigations South narcotics unit, in collaboration with local police from PDQ 12 and other specialized teams.

During the operations, law enforcement officials confiscated cocaine, crack, various pills, and over $8,000 in cash. Among those apprehended were two men, aged 23 and 29, who were arrested on Nov. 5 and subsequently released. On Dec. 2, Wesley Barnes, 54, and Rosly Alix Ngassaki, 39, were taken into custody and brought before the Montreal courthouse on charges related to drug possession and trafficking. A 47-year-old woman was also arrested on the same day and released with a court summons.

On Dec. 17, Martin Richardson, 45, was arrested and appeared in court the next day facing similar charges. Additionally, a 63-year-old man was detained but later released pending a court appearance.

It is important to note that none of the accusations have been proven in court.
