Earlier this morning, a police incident led to the temporary closure of the iconic Lions Gate Bridge in both directions. The West Vancouver Police Department took swift action, closing the bridge at 7:30 a.m., and successfully reopening it by 8:10 a.m.
With the situation resolved, authorities expressed their gratitude to the public for their understanding and cooperation during the closure. However, drivers are still advised to anticipate traffic congestion and consider using the alternate route, the Ironworkers Memorial Bridge, for their commute between Vancouver and North Vancouver.
