Loto-Québec Shatters Records with Historic Prize Payouts This Year!

Quebec Lottery Winners Break Record in 2025
Many people in Quebec have had the fortune of winning lotteries, and Loto-Québec has announced that they have set a new record in 2025.

With just a week remaining in the year and a massive $80 million prize available in the upcoming Wednesday night’s Lotto Max draw, there is a chance for another lucky winner to join the ranks of those who have collectively taken home over $1.7 billion in prizes this year alone, surpassing the previous record set in 2024.

Loto-Québec reports that since the beginning of the year, they have awarded 16 jackpots of $5,000,000 or more, and 19 lifetime annuities have been claimed by winners.

Isabelle Jean, the Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer of Lottery Games at Loto-Québec, expressed her excitement, stating, “The year 2025 has seen numerous groups of winners sharing significant jackpots across 10 regions in Quebec. Witnessing the joy among families and friends, even in the Basse-Côte-Nord region, has made this a truly unforgettable year!”

Furthermore, lotteries have produced over 100 new millionaires throughout the province.

The highlight of 2025 was a $70,000,000 Lotto Max jackpot that was split in July between an entrepreneur from Montérégie and a retiree from Montreal.

In addition to the Lotto Max success, there is a jackpot of $10 million up for grabs in the Lotto 6/49 draw, which has been won by 10 Quebecers this year.
