York Regional Police officers are currently seeking a man following an unprovoked assault involving a sharp object at a Vaughan plaza parking lot on Tuesday evening. The incident occurred around 6 p.m. near Mable Smith Way and Interchange Way, close to Jane Street and Highway 7.
During the assault, which was described as unprovoked, the unidentified man approached two individuals in the parking lot, grabbed one of them from behind, and carried out the attack. The victim sustained minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Authorities provided a description of the suspect as a man in his late 30s or early 40s, standing between five-foot-10 and six feet tall, with brown or black facial hair and a medium to heavy build. The suspect was last seen wearing a dark-colored toque, a blue-and-green plaid jacket, and dark pants.
