Peel Regional Police are seeking the community’s support to identify a suspect involved in a recent stabbing incident in Mississauga.
According to authorities, the incident occurred on December 24th at approximately 7:20 p.m. in the vicinity of Church Street and Queen Street South.
The victim was walking along a trail in the area when an unidentified man demanded the victim’s belongings. Following the victim’s compliance, the suspect viciously stabbed the victim multiple times before making a swift getaway.
Lacking a mobile phone to request help, the victim managed to drive himself to a nearby paramedic station, from where he was swiftly taken to a nearby trauma center. Fortunately, his injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening.
The wanted suspect, described as a male in his thirties, is still at large and was last spotted donning a green or blue jacket.
Authorities urge anyone who may have pertinent information to reach out to the police.
