“Manhunt Underway: Suspect Charged in Burnaby Shooting Spree”

Authorities in Burnaby have announced that charges have been pressed and a warrant issued in relation to a recent shooting incident that left a man hospitalized with gunshot wounds.

The incident unfolded on Dec. 19, just before 9 p.m., near the intersection of Phillips Avenue and Woodbrook Place, prompting a swift response from law enforcement following reports of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers found a man injured by gunfire, who was then promptly taken to the hospital for treatment. It has been determined that the shooting was a targeted attack.

Following a thorough investigation, the suspect has been identified as 18-year-old Ronin Tajali from Burnaby. The BC Prosecution Service has sanctioned charges against him, including discharge of a firearm with intent, aggravated assault, and possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm.

Tajali, described as 5’6” tall, 150 pounds, with green eyes and short black hair, is currently at large. The public is urged to refrain from approaching him if spotted and instead contact 911 immediately.
