Due to hazardous icy conditions and multiple collisions, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has announced the closure of all northbound lanes on Highway 400 from Major Mackenzie to Lloydtown-Aurora Road. One individual has been transported to a hospital as a precautionary measure.
Motorists are urged by the OPP to exercise caution when driving today and to be prepared for potentially unpredictable icy conditions.
In a recent social media update on Sunday morning, the OPP advised drivers to refrain from venturing out onto roadways and highways until the current weather system subsides.
