Toronto authorities are seeking a man accused of assaulting a taxi driver and using a harmful substance during a dispute over the fare.
The incident occurred on December 12 at 10 p.m. near Woodbine Avenue and Danforth Avenue, where the driver picked up the suspect in his cab. A disagreement ensued over the fare, leading to the suspect spraying the driver with the harmful substance before fleeing the scene.
The suspect is described as being five-foot-six, having a medium build, and being clean-shaven. He was last spotted wearing a bright green hooded sweater, black pants, and carrying a black backpack.
Authorities urge anyone with relevant information to come forward and assist in the investigation.
