City crews in Montreal have been working diligently to clear away snow from the recent heavy snowfall. Progress varies across the city’s 19 boroughs, with some areas ahead of others in snow removal operations.
By late morning, some boroughs had made significant headway. Verdun was leading the efforts with 75% of snow pickup completed, closely followed by Saint-Leonard at 70% and L’Île-Bizard–Sainte-Geneviève at 67%. Other boroughs showing strong progress include Anjou at 60% and Ville-Marie at 56%.
In central and eastern Montreal, snow removal is moving steadily with The Plateau-Mont-Royal at 57%, Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension at 48%, Outremont at 46%, Rivière-des-Prairies–Pointe-aux-Trembles at 44%, and Mercier–Hochelaga-Maisonneuve at 43%.
However, some areas are experiencing slower progress. Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie reported 26% completion, while Le Sud-Ouest stood at 22%. Boroughs like Ahuntsic-Cartierville, Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce, and Saint-Laurent are all under 20%, along with Montréal-Nord at 17%, Lachine at 16%, Pierrefonds-Roxboro at 13%, and LaSalle at 12%.
