A man previously convicted of a sex offense and released from prison earlier this year is back in police custody for allegedly committing indecent acts on public transportation. Identified as Matthew Donald Adlam, a 52-year-old high-risk offender from Oshawa, he was arrested after reports of inappropriate behavior on a Durham Regional Transit (DRT) bus over the weekend.
Following a public safety advisory in October, Adlam was taken into custody by officers who responded to the incident on the bus. Further investigations revealed his connection to a similar event reported on a DRT bus in mid-December.
Adlam now faces charges of two indecent acts and two counts of disobeying court orders, and he is currently awaiting a bail hearing.
