A settlement agreement has been proposed in a class-action lawsuit involving the absence of soccer icon Lionel Messi and other Inter Miami players during a match against the Vancouver Whitecaps last year.
The proposed resolution, which is subject to approval, involves fans who took legal action against the Whitecaps and Major League Soccer. As part of the agreement, revisions will be made to the Whitecaps’ ticketing procedures, and a substantial $475,000 donation to charity is on the table.
