The latest data from British Columbia reveals that ‘Noah’ has once again clinched the title of the most popular baby name in the province for the year.
After being dethroned by ‘Oliver’ in 2024, ‘Noah’ made a strong comeback in 2025, with 198 newborns given this timeless name, edging out its competitors.
Following ‘Noah’ in the rankings were names like ‘Oliver,’ ‘Theodore,’ ‘Liam,’ ‘Olivia,’ ‘Charlotte,’ ‘Jack,’ ‘Henry,’ ‘Sophia,’ and ‘James,’ in that order.
The Vital Statistics Agency of B.C. meticulously documents all names used more than five times in their online database, offering insight into the trends in baby naming.
In the period between January 1 and December 15, 2025, a total of over 41,500 newborns were officially registered with the B.C. government, reflecting the diverse and evolving landscape of baby names in the province.
