Fresh Details on Worker Injured at Richmond Condo Restoration Site
Recently, new details have surfaced regarding a worker who sustained injuries on Monday at the site of a Richmond condo building undergoing restoration after a fire earlier this month.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) reported that a construction worker fell around 25 to 30 feet from scaffolding during the incident.
In a statement, the Mounties stated, “The worker was engaged in remediation work on a building complex.”
Upon receiving the call at 11 a.m., police swiftly arrived at the scene to provide assistance alongside Richmond Fire-Rescue.
Fortunately, authorities mentioned that the worker’s injuries seemed to be minor.
The incident took place at Fraser Place, a condo building in the Steveston area of the city. This location had previously experienced a significant fire that displaced multiple individuals and led to two hospitalizations on December 3.
Contractors, including restoration service provider On Side, are currently working on restoring the building, which attracted the presence of WorkSafeBC at the site.
