“Montréal’s Grand Minuit 2026: A Dazzling Symphony of Fireworks and Festivities!”

Montrealers are gearing up to ring in 2026 in style with exciting celebrations happening throughout the city, including the highly anticipated Grand Minuit event at the Old Port.

Grand Minuit is set to offer a vibrant mix of music, fireworks, and a true Quebecois experience that promises to delight both locals and tourists alike.

Delphine Poux, Multicolore’s vice-president of marketing, has dubbed Grand Minuit as “Montreal’s ultimate New Year’s bash,” likening it to iconic celebrations like the ball drop in Times Square and New Year’s Eve festivities in Sydney.

From 7:30 p.m. onwards, attendees can revel in a night filled with live music, performances, visual spectacles, and interactive elements, lasting until approximately 2 a.m.

Featuring renowned Quebec artists such as Patrick Watson, Klô Pelgag, Pierre Kwenders, and more, the event is curated by Brigitte Poupart to ensure a diverse and unifying experience for all.

With a lineup that includes Tupi Collective, Qualité Motel, and a grand musical performance at 10:30 p.m., Grand Minuit promises an unforgettable evening for all who join in.

Poux emphasized the inclusive nature of the celebration, highlighting the diverse talent and festive atmosphere that attendees can expect.

The night will culminate in a breathtaking fireworks display over the Old Port skyline at midnight, followed by performances from High Klassified and other special guests, as DJ Nana Zen keeps the party going until the early hours.

Grand Minuit, a free event open to all, aims to bring together families, friends, Montreal locals, and visitors for a memorable New Year’s celebration.

As an added bonus, Grand Minuit is launching a Quebec-themed contest with prizes totaling $6,000, including unique experiences, travel credits, and more. Residents can enter by sharing their 2026 resolutions before the year-end deadline.
