Authorities have shared images of a suspect and the suspect’s vehicle following an alleged random assault at a shopping plaza in Vaughan last Tuesday evening.
According to a statement from York Regional Police, the incident took place in the parking lot of a plaza near Mable Smith Way and Interchange Way, just southwest of Jane Street and Highway 7. The assault occurred around 6 p.m. when an unidentified man approached two individuals from behind, grabbed one of them, and carried out the assault.
The victim, who sustained minor injuries, was promptly taken to a hospital for treatment. The police are actively seeking a male suspect believed to be in his late 30s or early 40s, standing between five-foot-10 and six feet tall, with brown or black facial hair and a medium to heavy build.
The suspect was last seen wearing a dark-colored beanie, a blue-and-green plaid jacket, and dark trousers. Additionally, authorities have released a photo of the suspect’s vehicle, described as a white four-door sedan.
