Barrie Police Discover Tragic Incident During Well-Being Check
During a routine well-being check at a residence in Barrie on Wednesday afternoon, police were met with a heartbreaking discovery. Upon entering the unit on Bayview Drive near Little Avenue, officers found the lifeless body of a 10-year-old child.
Aside from the tragic scene, authorities also located the child’s mother, a 47-year-old woman, who was promptly taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation.
Barrie Police Services have assured the public that there is no threat to safety and are currently conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.
