Gunfire Erupts at Etobicoke High-Rise: Police Launch Major Investigation

Toronto authorities are currently investigating a possible shooting incident that took place in Etobicoke on Thursday evening, leading to a significant police response at a tall building complex.

Responding to reports of gunfire on Friday morning, officers arrived at the Islington Avenue and Bloor Street intersection. Several police vehicles were spotted outside the Islington Terrace condominium towers located at 5, 7, and 9 Mabelle Avenue.

Upon investigation, officials discovered evidence indicating that a residence had been hit by gunfire. While property damage was confirmed, fortunately, no injuries were reported.

A police spokesperson disclosed that a report of gunfire was received at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, suggesting that the shooting likely occurred overnight.

As of now, no arrests have been made, and authorities have not shared any details about potential suspects involved in the incident.
