The Richmond RCMP is seeking the public’s help in investigating a tragic accident that occurred on December 31st, claiming the life of a pedestrian.
The incident took place at the intersection of Williams Road and Seacote Road just before 7 a.m., prompting a swift response from the authorities.
Upon arriving at the scene, law enforcement officials cordoned off the area as paramedics and firefighters rushed to aid the injured pedestrian. Despite the efforts, the victim unfortunately did not survive.
Pictures captured at the scene depict a damaged black sedan being held by the police, with forensic experts setting up a tent for further investigation.
For several hours, the stretch of road between Shell Road and No. 5 Road was closed off by the Mounties, reopening later in the day. The driver involved in the accident remained on-site and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
In a plea for information, the Richmond RCMP is urging any witnesses or individuals with dash-cam footage of the crash to come forward and assist in the inquiry by referencing file number 2025-41650.
