Two individuals are being charged with multiple offenses after a recent traffic stop in Mississauga.
Authorities in Peel Region reported that a car was stopped near Dundas Street East and Dixie Road late on January 3.
Upon further investigation, it was revealed that the two occupants of the vehicle were apprehended in accordance with the Cannabis Act. A subsequent search of the car led to the discovery of a loaded handgun and ammunition magazine.
Lavone Reynard, a 31-year-old individual from East Preston, Nova Scotia, and Romaine Cain, a 32-year-old resident of Brampton, are now facing a range of charges related to firearms and drug violations.
