Montreal residents woke up to clear skies on Sunday, although the cold weather persisted. Daytime temperatures hovered around minus 13 degrees Celsius, with wind chills making it feel even colder at minus 24 degrees Celsius.

The clear weather is set to continue into the night, with temperatures dropping to around minus 20 degrees Celsius and wind chills hitting minus 27 degrees Celsius.

On Monday, clouds are expected to roll in, bringing with them light snow starting in the morning.

Looking ahead, Tuesday will see the snowfall continue with temperatures near minus 8 degrees Celsius during the day and remaining steady overnight before a gradual warming trend kicks in by midweek.

Wednesday will stay cloudy, with temperatures climbing to around minus 2 degrees Celsius and dipping to a low of about minus 4 degrees Celsius.

By the end of the week, temperatures are forecasted to rise above freezing. Both Thursday and Friday will bring cloudy skies and periods of rain, with temperatures reaching about 5 degrees Celsius by Friday.
