A tragic incident outside Toronto’s popular Loose Moose bar has led to a serious escalation, with a charge of manslaughter now in place following the death of a man involved in the altercation.
The unfolding events took place in the early hours of December 28, 2025, when Toronto police responded to a disturbance at 146 Front Street W.
According to investigators, a heated argument between two individuals turned violent outside the bar. The accused allegedly attacked the victim, causing him to collapse to the ground.
After the victim rose to his feet, he was allegedly struck again by the suspect, resulting in a loss of consciousness, as detailed in a statement from Toronto law enforcement.
As the suspect fled the scene, emergency services rushed the victim, identified as Daniel Kellet-Smith, 34, of Toronto, to the hospital, where he was placed on life support.
Tragically, on December 31, 2025, Kellet-Smith succumbed to his injuries, leading to the identification of the suspect as Bernard Emeka Oneh, 30, from Richmond Hill. Initially facing an aggravated assault charge, Oneh now stands accused of manslaughter following Kellet-Smith’s passing.
