Police investigate shooting incident in North Delta; Brooke Road section closed
Police in North Delta have closed a portion of Brooke Road on Wednesday morning following a shooting at a residential home. The Delta Police Department received reports of shots fired at around 5:10 a.m. Thankfully, no injuries were reported as the residents were inside the home at the time.
The incident is suspected to be linked to an ongoing extortion investigation, according to the Major Crime Section of the department. Images from the site show police blocking off the road between 84 Avenue and Nordel Way, with a white tent set up behind barricades near 86a Avenue for further investigation.
