Tragic Fire Claims Life of 15-Year-Old in Langley
A devastating incident unfolded early Wednesday morning in Langley, as a structure fire took the life of a 15-year-old child. Emergency responders from the Township of Langley Fire Department and local police rushed to the scene located on 248 Street close to 100 Avenue at 7 a.m.
Upon their arrival, first responders were met with a harrowing sight as the building was completely consumed by flames. Despite their best efforts, firefighters were only able to enter the building after the fire was brought under control, where they discovered the lifeless body of the teenager.
Authorities are now conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the fire. The RCMP has described the incident as a “heartbreaking tragedy” and has stated that there is no current evidence of foul play.
Sgt. Zynal Sharoom of the Langley RCMP emphasized the gravity of the situation, noting, “We are examining all facets of this tragic event, particularly given the loss of a young life.”
