Pascal Vincent, head coach of the Laval Rocket, has been selected to lead the North Division at the 2026 AHL All-Star Classic, as announced by the league on Friday. The prestigious event, set to take place on Feb. 10-11 and hosted by the Rockford IceHogs, will showcase the top talents in the league.
Vincent, aged 54, secured his position by guiding the North Division to success as of Jan. 11, with the Rocket boasting an impressive 22-11-0-1 record. With a remarkable coaching track record, Vincent has amassed a 70-30-3-3 regular-season record with Laval, along with a playoff record of 6-7-0. Prior to his role with the Rocket, he also helmed the Manitoba Moose and led the Central Division at the 2018 AHL All-Star Classic held in Utica, N.Y.
This achievement holds special significance for the Laval Rocket, as it marks the first time in the team’s history that their head coach will represent the North Division at the All-Star Classic. Notably, Vincent’s coaching prowess was recognized last season when he was honored as the AHL Coach of the Year, clinching the prestigious A.R. Pieri Memorial Award for his outstanding leadership. This accolade marked his second win, following his initial recognition in 2017-18 with the Manitoba Moose.
