“Historic Molson Brewery in Montreal Defaced: Vandals Leave Their Mark on Iconic Landmark”

Over the weekend, Montreal’s historic Molson Brewery building was unexpectedly transformed by the addition of new letters in a graffiti incident.

The co-owner of the building, Groupe Montoni, described the incident as an act of vandalism that took place overnight from Friday to Saturday. They clarified that there is no evidence of theft associated with the incident, emphasizing that the building’s security measures are being maintained at the highest level.

In a statement released on Monday, the real estate developer expressed disappointment over the incident, highlighting the significance of the building as a heritage landmark that should be respected.

The graffiti added to the building’s exterior formed the new words “Kong” and “Sluk,” with the exact meaning behind these additions remaining unclear. These words are believed to be graffiti tags, contributing to the mystery surrounding the incident.

Groupe Montoni reported the vandalism to the police on Saturday and mentioned that a specialized anti-graffiti team was brought in on Sunday to determine the most suitable methods for removing the graffiti while preserving the historical essence of the site.
