Toronto authorities have apprehended a 38-year-old caregiver accused of assaulting numerous vulnerable adults at an east-end group home in November. The alleged incidents took place throughout the month, with the investigation commencing on December 10 following reports of an assault at the group home near Sibley Avenue and Dentonia Park Avenue, close to Victoria Park subway station.
The suspect, identified as Oghenemaro Dave Ejerua, was employed as a caregiver at the home during the assaults. Police claim that he carried out a series of attacks on the residents. After initially being at large, Ejerua has now been captured, and as of Monday, he faces seven assault charges.
