“Vaughan Extortion Mastermind Busted, Police Seize Over $170K in Luxury Watches”

York Regional Police have apprehended a 34-year-old man from Aurora in connection with a long-standing extortion plot targeting a resident of Vaughan. Authorities are encouraging anyone else who may have been affected by this scheme to step forward.

The investigation was initiated in December 2025 when law enforcement received reports of a suspect who had been extorting the victim over the span of several years. The elaborate scheme traces back to 2018 when the suspect began offering the victim high-interest private loans.

According to detectives, the suspect resorted to threats, intimidation, and violent acts to enforce payments, intensifying the coercion as the victim struggled to meet the escalating debt.

In a coordinated effort on January 7, 2026, York Regional Police officers, in collaboration with the South Simcoe Police Service, executed a search warrant at a residence in Aurora. The suspect was apprehended, and authorities seized over $10,000 in cash along with seven luxury watches valued at more than $170,000, believed to have been acquired through criminal proceeds.

Adam Sirizzotti, 34, of Aurora, faces charges of extortion and possession of proceeds obtained through illicit means.

Authorities have disclosed a photo of Sirizzotti, expressing concerns that there may be other victims who have yet to come forward.
