Overnight Gunfire Incident Targets Home in Surrey’s Panorama Ridge Area

In a disturbing incident, a residence in Surrey’s Panorama Ridge neighborhood was hit by gunfire during the night, with authorities suspecting it to be another case related to extortion.

The Surrey Police Service swiftly responded to the scene on 56 Avenue near 134b Street following reports of shots fired just after midnight on Thursday. Upon arrival, officers discovered damage to both the house and a vehicle, though fortunately, no injuries were reported.

While investigations are ongoing to determine the motive behind the attack, the SPS has indicated that the incident seems to be connected to a series of extortion cases occurring in Surrey.

This latest shooting follows a troubling trend, as the SPS revealed that they have been looking into a total of 16 extortion-related crimes since the beginning of the year, including three incidents involving gun violence.
