The CAQ government led by François Legault will call a byelection in the riding of Chicoutimi, in Saguenay—Lac-Saint-Jean.
The byelection was made necessary following the resignation of former Minister of Municipal Affairs Andrée Laforest, who unsuccessfully ran for mayor of Saguenay.
Chicoutimi voters will go to the polls on Feb. 23.
