Authorities from the Kahnawake Peacekeepers and Sûreté du Québec (SQ) are currently conducting a joint investigation into a tragic shooting incident that took place on Tuesday afternoon behind a popular restaurant in the Mohawk territory just outside of Montreal.
The unfortunate event occurred precisely at 2:32 p.m. behind Robbie’s Smokehouse, claiming the life of a 41-year-old man who was not from the local area.
In response to the incident, the SQ’s major crimes unit has been brought in to support the ongoing investigation. Reassuringly, officials have confirmed that there is no immediate danger to the surrounding community.
