After years of being a staple in Montreal’s vibrant nightlife scene, Le Rouge Bar is preparing to bid farewell. The beloved club, nestled near the bustling Saint-Laurent Boulevard, is set to close its doors for the last time on January 31st.
Announcing the closure on Instagram, Massimo, the operating partner of Le Rouge Bar, expressed gratitude to the countless patrons who have been a part of the club’s journey. “With the evolving landscape around us, January 31st will mark our final night,” Massimo shared. “Millions have passed through our doors, adding their own chapter to our story, and for that, we are eternally thankful.”
Le Rouge Bar’s closure adds to the growing list of bars and music venues in Montreal that have succumbed to challenges such as skyrocketing rents and strict noise bylaws that come with hefty fines for non-compliance.
