New Warming Trailer Unveiled on Notre-Dame Street East to Combat the Cold!

Montreal Partners with L’Anonyme to Open Warmth Trailer for Those in Need

Montreal, in collaboration with the health and social services network and L’Anonyme, has introduced a new warming trailer on Notre-Dame Street East. This initiative aims to provide a safe and welcoming space for individuals seeking refuge from the cold weather.

The trailer offers comfortable seating, hot beverages, and water to help visitors stay warm and hydrated. Operating from 6 a.m. to midnight during the day, the trailer briefly closes for cleaning between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. It also welcomes guests overnight from midnight to 6 a.m.

Visitors are reminded through on-site signs of the organization’s policy regarding thefts and unattended belongings. Objects left unattended for over an hour will be discarded for safety reasons.

Moreover, posters around the facility highlight the code of conduct, emphasizing a zero-tolerance policy towards violence, threats, or insults. The prohibition of alcohol and drug consumption inside the premises, as well as the restriction on the sale or exchange of substances, is strictly enforced.

Additionally, a separate trailer equipped with bathroom facilities is available to cater to the essential needs of those seeking assistance.
