“Midday Horror: Man Brutally Stabbed at Bustling Montreal Metro Station”

In an unfortunate incident this Friday morning, a 43-year-old man was injured in a stabbing at a metro station in the Ville-Marie borough, as confirmed by Montreal police.

The incident unfolded at the Place des arts metro station, prompting 911 calls to the Montreal Police (SPVM) at approximately 9:25 a.m. Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered the victim with stab wounds on his upper body. The man was promptly transported to the hospital with wounds that were deemed non-life threatening.

SPVM spokesperson Jeanne Drouin stated, “According to preliminary information, the victim was involved in an altercation with several suspects at the Saint-Laurent metro station.”

The suspects managed to escape before the police intervention, with no arrests having been made at this point.

Despite the incident, metro services continued uninterrupted, although the Saint-Laurent metro station remained closed temporarily as authorities conducted their investigation.
