Toronto Woman Faces Charges for Alleged Anti-Indian Graffiti Spree in TTC Stations

A Toronto woman, Megan Esley, 29, has been arrested for defacing TTC stations with anti-Indian messages, leading to her being charged with multiple counts of vandalism.

Toronto police received reports of graffiti with anti-Indian sentiments at various TTC stations from July to December 2025. The suspect allegedly targeted subway cars and stations with the offensive messaging.

Following an investigation, authorities conducted a search at a Toronto residence, resulting in Esley’s arrest. She now faces eight charges of mischief for damaging property under $5,000.

The incident is being treated as a hate-motivated crime by law enforcement officials.
