Historic Snowfall: See Toronto Blanketed in Record-Breaking Winter Majesty

Toronto is currently facing its largest snowfall on record, and CityNews has been inundated with photos and videos showcasing the impact of the storm in different neighborhoods.

The visuals range from cars buried under mounds of snow to adorable small dogs navigating the wintry landscape, capturing the ongoing efforts to clear the snow after the unprecedented weather event.

One standout contribution came from Cristina Campbell of Etobicoke, who painstakingly constructed an igloo over multiple days and nights using just her hands. Campbell’s motivation wasn’t solely to build an igloo but to create a warm and inviting space where neighbors and kids could gather during the harsh winter days.

Describing her project, Campbell expressed, “What began as a personal endeavor evolved into a community focal point, with children playing, locals dropping by, and the sharing of hot chocolate, bringing families together outdoors despite the freezing cold.”

Videos circulating from various parts of the city offer glimpses of the lively scenes on Sunday night, with children and pets enjoying the snow while some residents faced the daunting task of clearing it.
