On a late Sunday afternoon, police in the Manawan community responded to a distress call at a local residence where two individuals were found deceased.
The Atikamekw Council of Manawan issued a statement confirming a tragic event had transpired at the residence, leading to the loss of two lives.
At present, the identities of the victims and the circumstances surrounding their demise remain undisclosed.
To shed light on the situation, authorities from the crimes against persons division, along with a forensic technician from the Sûreté du Québec, will be conducting an investigation at the scene, as mentioned by SQ spokesperson Marythé Bolduc.
