Court Reveals Shocking Twist: Slain Salon Owner Claudia Iacono Was Not the Intended Victim in Tragic Shooting

The tragic death of Claudia Iacono, who was mistakenly killed in a shooting targeting her husband, has taken a new turn as two men have confessed in court that she was not the intended victim. Tyranne Andre Greenidge and Kalial Nesfield admitted their guilt in a conspiracy to murder Anthony Gallo, Iacono’s husband, in a shocking revelation.

The fatal incident occurred on May 16, 2023, in the parking lot of Iacono’s beauty salon in Côte-des-Neiges–NDG. Despite the initial assumption that Iacono was the target, it was later revealed that the plan was to assassinate Gallo. Greenidge and Nesfield, who have been sentenced to 18 years in prison, clarified that they were not the ones who pulled the trigger but were involved in orchestrating the conspiracy.

Notably, Anthony Gallo, the husband of Claudia Iacono, is the son of Moreno Gallo, a reputed Mafia figure whose life ended tragically with an assassination in Mexico in 2013. Gallo has consistently denied any association with the Mafia, despite his family ties.

The shocking death of Iacono adds to the string of Mafia-related incidents that have rocked the Montreal area in 2023. In a chilling series of events, Leonardo Rizzuto, son of former Mafia boss Vito Rizzuto, narrowly escaped an assassination attempt in March when his car was fired upon in Laval. Subsequently, Francesco Del Balso, a known figure in organized crime, was fatally shot in Montreal’s West Island on June 5, with speculations linking the incident to the prior attempt on Rizzuto’s life.
