With over two decades of experience in performing intricate surgeries, Dr. Danis is not only a skilled medical professional but also an extreme athlete who has conquered races in some of the world’s most challenging terrains.
However, his life took a drastic turn when he lost part of his arm in a tragic accident during a race in Florida. Despite facing the possibility of never being able to perform surgery again, Dr. Danis refused to be deterred. Encouraged by a nurse’s words, he embraced the challenge of adapting to his new reality.
Driven by determination, Dr. Danis sought the expertise of a specialized team at Sunnybrook Hospital, where he was fitted with a groundbreaking prosthetic that enabled him to resume surgical procedures. Through perseverance and countless hours of practice, he mastered the use of his prosthetic, successfully performing multiple surgeries with precision and care.
