CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Daredevil Rider Clings to Moving GO Train in Heart-Stopping Stunt

Missing Your Train vs. Risking It All: A Cautionary Tale
Metrolinx CEO Michael Lindsay has a clear message for transit riders: the frustration of missing a train is nothing compared to the dangers of risking your life for it.

In a recent incident captured on security footage, a person was seen dangerously leaping onto a moving GO Train on the Lakeshore East line. The incident took place last Wednesday around 8:33 p.m. on the 9132 train bound for Durham College Oshawa.

The video footage shows the individual making a perilous jump onto the moving train and holding onto its side as it pulls out of the station. GO staff had to react quickly by applying the brakes, putting not only the person at risk but also other commuters on board.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported, but the reckless act served as a stark reminder of the potential consequences of such risky behaviors.

In a statement, Lindsay empathized with the frustration of missing a train by seconds, likening it to common experiences of rushing to catch a departing train. However, he emphasized that no appointment or obligation is worth endangering oneself or others.

The incident serves as a cautionary tale, highlighting the importance of prioritizing safety over convenience and the potential dangers of impulsive actions in transit situations.
