Early Morning Chaos: Two Injured as Car Collides with TTC Streetcar

Two individuals were hospitalized following a collision between a car and a TTC streetcar in Toronto early Wednesday morning. The incident caused temporary disruptions on a major streetcar route in the city.

Toronto paramedics responded to the crash site at 4 a.m. and provided medical attention to the injured parties. One person sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries, while the second individual was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Emergency crews reported that the collision occurred between a vehicle and a 501 Queen streetcar. As a result, the streetcar route had to be diverted through Spadina Avenue, King Street West, and Shaw Street. However, normal service has since resumed on the affected route.

Authorities have not yet disclosed the specific circumstances that led to the accident.
