“Montreal and Laval Host Life-Saving Blood Drive During 4th Annual Muslim Awareness Week”

Montreal and Laval Host Blood Donation Drive During Muslim Awareness Week

As part of the ongoing Muslim Awareness Week, a significant blood donation drive is currently underway in Montreal and Laval. This year marks the fourth anniversary of the initiative, which aims to promote unity and compassion within the community.

In collaboration with Héma-Québec, the blood drive encourages individuals to contribute by donating blood, a simple yet impactful way to potentially save lives. Quebecers have until Saturday to participate in this noble cause at various locations, including Globule Versailles on Sherbrooke Street, the Héma-Québec Donation Centre in Kirkland, and Globule Laval on Le Corbusier Boulevard.

Organizers emphasize that every donation symbolizes key values such as humanity, compassion, and collective responsibility. The blood drive holds a special significance, emerging in the aftermath of the tragic events of January 29, 2017, when a fatal shooting at a Quebec City mosque resulted in the loss of six lives.

Reflecting on the past and looking towards the future, the organizers of Muslim Awareness Week encourage the public to channel their remembrance into positive action by participating in the blood donation drive.
