According to Durham Regional Police, a man arrived at an Ajax hospital with a gunshot injury in the wee hours of Thursday.
Police responded to Lakeridge Health Ajax Pickering Hospital located at 580 Harwood Avenue South at approximately 1:35 a.m. following the man’s visit to the emergency room.
The man’s age was not disclosed, but he was later moved to a hospital in the Toronto area and is currently in stable condition.
Authorities are now working to piece together the events leading to the shooting and identify the individuals involved.
